Thomas Sahagun Promises "A Bloodbath" as Slaughter Night 2 Gears Up for Production

With filming set to begin at the end of July, Thomas Sahagun is getting fans excited for what he says will be the wildest movie he and his team have ever made.

After the success of Slaughter Night and its first major theatrical release, Sahagun says Slaughter Night 2 is going bigger, bloodier, and crazier than ever before.

"We're making a bloodbath," Sahagun said with a laugh. "This movie is going to be soaked in blood. The kills are bigger, the effects are nastier, and we're really pushing ourselves with what we can do."

The filmmaker says the team isn't interested in making a safe horror movie.

"Horror is supposed to shock people," he said. "It's supposed to make you uncomfortable and leave you thinking, 'What the hell did I just watch?' That's the kind of movie we're making."

Sahagun knows the movie won't be for everyone, and he doesn't seem too worried about that.

"We know some people are going to hate it. We know some people are going to be offended by it. That's fine," he said. "We're making the movie we want to make, and we're not changing it just because it might upset some people."

According to Sahagun, Slaughter Night 2 will break a lot of the usual rules when it comes to slasher movies. The goal is to give horror fans something fun, over the top, and unforgettable.

“We want people leaving the theater saying, 'That was insane,'" he said. "We're trying things we've never done before, and we're not holding back."

The sequel will once again feature heavy practical effects and plenty of brutal moments. Returning teams Black Rain Entertainment and Castillo Production are back for the sequel, while Redwood Motion Pictures joins the production as a new partner.

With production just weeks away, excitement around Slaughter Night 2 continues to grow. Fans have been wondering how the team could top the first film, and Sahagun believes audiences haven't seen anything yet.

"The first movie was just the beginning," he said. "We're raising the bar with this one. It's bigger, crazier, and way more intense. If you thought the first film was wild, just wait until you see what we have planned for Slaughter Night 2."

Whether audiences love it or hate it, one thing is clear, Thomas Sahagun and his team aren't planning on playing it safe.

And if Sahagun's promises are true, Slaughter Night 2 could become the most talked-about chapter in the series yet.
