THE OFFICIAL SLAUGHTER NIGHT 2 POSTER HAS ARRIVED, AND WAS BROUGHT TO LIFE BY RISING ARTIST
By Pink Moon Pictures
The wait is finally over! The official poster for Slaughter Night 2 has officially been revealed, giving horror fans their first real look at what is shaping up to be one of the most talked about independent horror films next year.
The poster was designed by rising artist Eykis Vasquez, working alongside Thomas Sahagun, who created the overall vision and direction for how he wanted the poster to look. While Sahagun knew exactly what feeling he wanted fans to get from the artwork, it was Vasquez who turned that vision into reality. For Vasquez, this wasn’t just another drawing. It was something completely new. Although she has loved drawing since she was just 9 years old, she admits she never really chased that dream because she was afraid of what people might think. “I always loved drawing,” Vasquez said. “But I never really pursued it because I was scared of being judged.” About a year ago, she finally decided to start sharing her artwork online. That decision ended up changing everything. After following Thomas Sahagun on TikTok, she discovered Slaughter Night. At first, slashers weren’t really her thing, but the clips she kept seeing caught her attention. “The film was amazing. I never been one for horror films, but it looked so icky from the short clips that I had to give it a watch.” She quickly became a fan of the film. When Sahagun came across her artwork, he immediately knew she was the right person to create the official poster for the sequel. “I was honored,” Vasquez said. “I have never drawn a film poster before. This was my first time ever doing anything like this, and it was something way out of the usual for me.” Creating the poster wasn’t easy, it was very stressful and very time consuming. With so many characters, details, lighting, and emotions that needed to fit into one image, the project became one of the biggest artistic challenges she had ever taken on. She spent countless hours making changes, adding details, and making sure every part of the artwork matched Sahagun’s vision. In the end, the hard work paid off. The finished poster has already received praise from fans, who say it perfectly captures the dark and disturbing feeling that made the first film so memorable.
Filming Begins in Just Six Days
The excitement isn’t stopping with the poster. Production on Slaughter Night 2 is set to begin filming in just six days, and anticipation has reached a level nobody expected. Ever since the sequel was announced, fans have been asking for updates almost daily. Social media has been filled with comments from people counting down the days until filming begins and sharing how excited they are to see behind the scenes photos and videos from the set. Unfortunately for fans, they’ll have to be patient. The film isn’t expected to release until Spring 2027, making the wait feel even longer. Even so, the excitement hasn’t slowed down. If anything, every new update has only made people more eager to finally see what’s coming. Many fans are especially excited for the film’s planned theatrical experience, hoping to watch the sequel on the big screen with a crowd of horror fans.
A Passion Reignited
For Thomas Sahagun, Slaughter Night 2 is more than just another movie. It’s a project that has reminded him why he fell in love with filmmaking in the first place. Over the last couple of years, Sahagun admits there were times when he started losing that excitement he once had every time he stepped onto a film set. The long hours, the pressure, and the challenges of independent filmmaking slowly made the process feel more like work than something he truly enjoyed. But something changed with Slaughter Night 2. “I’ve never been more excited to film a movie than this one,” Sahagun said. “I was honestly starting to lose the love I had for making films, but this project brought it all back.” He says every part of the process from writing the story and planning the kills to working on the poster and preparing for production has reminded him why he started making movies in the first place. Instead of feeling stressed about filming, he now finds himself counting down the days until cameras start rolling. With filming just days away, Sahagun says the excitement among the cast and crew is unlike anything he’s experienced before. He believes Slaughter Night 2 has the potential to become his strongest and most unforgettable film yet, and he can’t wait for fans to finally experience what everyone has been working so hard to create.
A Bigger, Meaner, and More Disturbing Sequel
If the first film pushed people’s limits, Sahagun says the sequel plans to go even further. Slaughter Night 2 promises to be more disturbing, more disgusting, and even more offensive than the original. While that may not sound appealing to everyone, horror fans seem to love the idea. Thomas Sahagun has never hidden what kind of movie he wants to make. “Because I know it’ll gross people out and cause lots of controversy.” That simple idea became the driving force behind the sequel. Rather than playing it safe, Sahagun wants audiences to leave the theater shocked, uncomfortable, and talking about the film long after the credits roll. Love it or hate it, he wants people to have a reaction.
From One Film to a Franchise
When Slaughter Night was first released in select theaters back in February of 2026,, Sahagun never imagined it becoming more than a single film. “I honestly only planned on making one movie,” Sahagun said. “But after seeing how people reacted to it, I knew I had to make a sequel while adding a story.” Now, what started as one independent horror film has officially grown into the Slaughter Night franchise. One of the biggest reasons for that success has been Mike Hanson, whose performance has turned him into one of the franchise’s biggest attractions. Fans love him. Fans hate him. And that’s exactly why his character works so well. He’s become one of those horror villains audiences can’t stop talking about, making him both a fan favorite and one of the most hated characters at the same time. As production gets ready to begin, excitement continues to grow. Between the new poster, the returning cast, and the promise of an even darker story, Slaughter Night 2 is already building momentum before cameras have even started rolling. If the fans reactions are this way already, horror fans are in for one unforgettable ride next spring.
